I’ve never read anything like this before. I picked it up thinking it was going to be a fiction novel about a break up, and it turned into so much more. It was philosophical, terrifying, engaging. I read every single line, not skimming anything. And it was an experience. As I write this I wonder how I will sleep tonight

It is not a noir novel. It's really a vapid essay on various dualities - alone vs. not alone, good vs. bad, who's knowable or not. Dialogue explorations and internal musings on these topics are predictable and not provocative. Routine, run-of-the-mill, claustrophobic thriller dressed up to sound important. Hogwash.

As soon as you finish the book you have to go back and reread the first page.
This book is shocking and nothing like I expected. Devastating read.

I really enjoyed the cerebral discourse and the inner voice of the main character. I enjoyed the scenes at the farm and the bizarre situations. A good, short read. The ending was just ok though, but I won't spoil it.
