this was SO delightfully good!! I was a bit caught off guard by the chapter length at first but I actually think it fit the book very well. I thought the characters were so well rounded and fleshed out and I just loved the story so much <3

I'm just not invested enough in these characters. Elliot is so very oblivious. I know with it being set over a few years, it takes a while for them to mature but I'm growing impatient. The story is just too long and dragging. Also the emphasis on gender stereotypes and racism felt very heavy-handed after a while. I thought switching to audio would help, and it did make the long chapters more bearable but not enough for me to listen to nine more hours 😩
