Really enjoyed the book until the end. Definitely a vibes read and I’m continuing the series lol
Yes, some of the relationship building felt super rushed, going from apparent hatred to oaths of devotion so quickly. It definitely felt like whiplash a bit.
I really didn’t like the end. The big reveal/twist was completely out of the blue and made zero sense, especially since fmc chapters were first person. If the POV was more distanced, I could see a case for an unreliable narrator or she was just good at playing double agent but nope. So felt more like the twist was only unexpected because the author lied to us through the fmcs pov and then ended on a huge info dump to catch us all up. Definitely disappointed but here for the vibes and hopefully the other books get better

I was like appalled and also really curious about where the story was going . The ending was so strange and i’m confused and also at the same time despite my rating … I WANT TO KEEP READING? LIKE WHAT? I have no clue what to say my standards are very low .

Wowie. I am SHOOK by the ending of this book. It’s Fantastic.
I loathed one part of the book and felt it was really uncomfortable but I kept reading through it (the fog for anyone who’s curious) and I’m glad I did. I’m not really sure if I “get” the main couple attraction but they had god Chemistry on the page. Loved a fresh take with science and mushrooms.

I think I liked it? There was a complete character switch-up and I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. Mainly rating it for the storyline because it was so damn interesting. Definitely reading the second book, I MUST know what happens next! It’s definitely a darker vibe, with the MMC being the main cause of it, but I honestly didn’t mind. We’ll see how I feel about the second book, but so far, I’m in it for the long haul.
