I'm finally free!

Glad to end this series. It was a fun read but with how long many books there were in the series it started to get a little much.

I really enjoyed the action of this book. It was much more plot centered than the other books in the series. But I do think there were a few things that weren't resolved like they should have been, like
Ariadne's trauma and how she was dealing with being r*ped and seeing her sister commit suicide and being left with her nephew who now has no parents.

And we don't really see how Hephestus and Aphrodite's relationship ends, because we both know they care for each other but can't communicate. Also we were told that Apollo and Hyacinthe couldn't be together because Hyacinthe was going to be reincarnated just when Apollo died and we have no idea how he deals with that, or how Apollo and Ajax's relationship is affected.. ALSO Thanatos and Lexa's relationship got no conclusion. Did they decide to be together? Or not? Persephone told her to talk to him, but we don't get any update afterwards.
These examples are just what I can think of. Safe to say, while this book is entertaining, there are a lot of plot threads that are just never finished.

Also Zeus, Helios and Hera were all killed, and we don't see them in the Underworld, and nothing is said about it besides being told that Hera would never find peace because her body wasn't laid to rest. It's not that I think they deserve rest, but it's just that we don't know.

Also there is one time where Persephone wonders if the Fates are the real bad guys, and Hades thinks of it once or twice, but there's never anything else about it that's said or done.

I really enjoyed this book, but there were a lot of things that were just dropped and I think some of them could have been tied up with a few paragraphs that could have taken place of all the times I had to read about Theseus's cock getting hard over hurting women. That was mentioned way too many times. I know we were meant to see him as a monster, but it didn't need to be brought up so many times.

This was probably my favorite book in the series. I love love love Hermes and Hecate throughout and would read novellas of just them tbh lol Theseus is the WORST and I hate him.
Defeating him was not satisfying tbh I wanted him to suffer and I was hoping we would see what would happen between Ariadne and Dionysus.
a nice conclusion. I don’t think I would reread the whole series for this book but this was definitely the best one in the series

I am so sad that this series is over, but it is probably one of the best series I've read. The effort that the author put into these always amazes me when I read the author notes at the end to learn about the myths incorporated.

I loved the character development for Hades and Persephone throughout the series and the development of their relationship as well. I felt like Persephone had a decent amount of growth in the last two or three books especially. I also loved her relationship development with all the side characters as well. This book definitely screams "found family trope" louder than the others in this series, however, I think it's a present theme throughout.

I would have liked to learn more about Medusa, but I am thinking/hopeful the author is saving that for another series. I cannot wait to read about Aphrodite and Hephaestus.

The story in this book was captivating however the smut was a bit distracting and unnecessary in this one. I mean, a little is fine but there was too much. This book had some really dark moments and the great battle seemed to wrap up way too easily. That said, it was an entertaining read and a great final book to the series.

Again, I think some of the sex scenes could be faded out or cut out and replaced with more soul-intimate scenes, if that makes sense. Some of the occurances just don't make sense holistically and I don't see Hades or Persephone going that route either. Like they just teleport from a horrid fight scene and then suddenly coitus 🤨😑  I skipped the Hades series as of this review, so it was my first encounter with the different povs and from characters other than Persephone and Hades. I enjoyed that. I think it was also a good way to transition out of this series to the next one!! I love the ending- it was sweet. I am excited to read more on Aphrodite and Hephaestus, and Dionysus and Ariadne.
