I realized I only like this series because of Rose and Dimitri. So I was broken up when he died in the last book.
The first half of this book was so boring because, no Dimitri. And even Strigoi Dimitri is better than no Dimitri.

I feel like the chunk of the book before getting to Dimitri was just so dragged out, which took this book down to four stars
Read it in 24 hours. Woulda been less but naps had to happen. This book made up for book 3 in every way.

Mead did her job - I loved Dimitri's character in the first 3 books, I hated what he became in this one, and I hate that now have to I hate him.
Thank goodness I'm reading this series when all 6 books are already written and out, b/c I'm a sucker for the idea of true love, and I'm holding out hope that the illusion Avery planted in Rose's head will become real in the end!!!
