"It’s a good thing I work well under pressure."
After the revelations in this book, I really can't wait for Spirit Bound. Some aspects of this book broke my heart to pieces, others made me really happy but all in all I'm infatuated with the series.

i LOVED it; the drama, the heartbreak, the shifty and wonderful new characters.
I don’t think I will ever give these books less than 5 stars.
Not only do they make me the happiest reader ever, being able to reread them, but it’s such a well thought out story. It’s phenomenal and fascinating and leaves me speechless every time I read it.
It really is one of my favorite series ever✨
Ps. Let’s not ignore the fact that this book B R O K E me and that I ended up crying even though I already knew what would happen :)

I liked how different this book was. Rose isn't at the academy anymore. Instead she's travelling through Russia and Siberia to find Dimitri. It gives you a different perspective of this vampire world. By leaving the academy Rose learns how life is in the outside world and how the vampire world is run. I liked that about this book because it also gave the reader more insight.
Because of what happens in this book I think we learn about a different side of Rose we haven't seen before and because of all the things she's going through in Blood Promise she changes a lot. There are some plot twists that I very much enjoy and I also liked how it ended with new questions.
The events in this book end up being for 'nothing' in the end because Dimitri isn't dead yet after all. I feel like this story was more of bridge between the previous one and the next. We learn about the alchemists, what being shadow kissed could mean (lots of theories still) and how a Strigoi might be saved.
I was SO annoyed with Rose when she was in that mention because she was acting like some cheap and stupid little girl. How could she not see that this wasn't the old Dimitri? The guy didn't act like him at all. Just the things he said and the way he said them gave that away. Yet she couldn't see through that?! She learned that Strigoi aren't the people you used to know and yet she went through with it all. The Dimitri we know wouldn't have bitten her. Wouldn't have wanted them to live on in a mansion and rule some sort of Strigoi-family. I didn't expect it from Rose whom is one of my favorite female main characters but I guess in the end it made her even stronger and wiser.

I think the first three books were already wearing on me and I wanted to push through to the end to see how everything was resolved. But I just can't bring myself to get into it - the stilted writing and obsessive repetitive thoughts just kept grating on me.

A reread.... one of the most heart-wrenching stories......
Rose on a mission to Kill Dimitri after he becomes Strigoi, visits his homeland russia eets with his family, witnessing what could have been only to become his prisoner after hesitating..... Making the lines blur on if and how much of Dimitri seems to still exist....
Yea i cried alot
