Dimitri is now a Strigoi, a result of his and Rose's final battle. She knows she owes it to him to end his undead existence, so she heads off to Siberia.
Meanwhile, Lissa's lost without Rose and no one can really comfort her. Avery comes into the picture and while Lissa still misses Rose, things are a little easier.
For Rose, it gets more complicated. She meets Dimitri's family and they didn't know he had died. Resolved finally to find him and take him out, she's nonetheless surprised when he does appear and hesitates. That hesitation costs her freedom as Dimitri tries to convince her she wants to become a Strigoi as well. While she struggles with herself and Dimitri, she watches Lissa struggle and sink.
Rose must save them both, but does she have the strength and courage to get rid of Dimitri?

Me encanto!! No le puse 5 estrellas porque AMO a LISA y no tuve mi cuota suficiente de ella en este libro, el resto es perfecto!! Ame a Abe y a Jeanin jeje. Amo Rusia quiero ir!!
Amazing. That's all I can say about this book. Despite the fact that it made me sniver during half of the book, it's still my most beloved story. I'm surely going to count days till the new book shows up.

okay it took me a minute to finish this one bc life and the beginning was a bit slow for me. but so far, this is my favorite one of the series. first of all, i’m in love with adrian i want that man for myself so bad. second of all, kind of predictable, i guessed most of the twists but good nonetheless
I'm not that impressed with the ending really, I can see Mead trying to find any stupid way to bring Dimitri back when he's clearly gone. Sigh I loved the book apart from that

WARNING I am writing this review while sort of nuts from wisdom teeth surgery medicine. No pain, just still loopy from 2 days ago.
Okies....anyways...I read this a long time ago, but never really typed out what I felt about this certain book. I love the Vampire Academy series...sped through them faster than I could think.
But this one.....
Well it took me forever!!!! I was gripping the book in hopes of it speeding up. The beginning was about as slow as my sister when my mom tells her to get off her lazy ass and do chores. ahem
About halfway through this book, it sped up...so really Richelle could have ya know skipped the whole first part. Yes I loved the idea of learning about Dimitri's past, but so much of it can just make a person grind their teeth. can't do that now, but yeah...
But overall the last half of the book was what really got the 5 stars...I just knocked it down one star b/c of the ya know...beginning. Ahhh well...it was a good book so honestly I'm not complaining. Need to read the last two, hoping they're as good.
Alright back to eating my soup...I'll see you lovely people later. :D
