Ce quatrième tome est une très bonne lecture, cependant, il comporte quelques défauts. J'ai trouvé le début un peu long et lent à se mettre en place. Le côté "road trip" solo m'a pas trop convaincu.
Après j'étais contente de retrouver mes personnages favoris, j'ai été surprise de l'évolution de certains. Il y a eu pas mal de rebondissements que je n'ai pas ju venir et des révélations qui sont très intrigantes pour la suite. Le personnage de Rose fait des choix parfois voir souvent discutable mais j'aime ce côté tête brûlée.
La fin est juste parfaite pour avoir envie de lire la suite même je l'ai trouvé un tout petit peu facile. La résolution de ce tome ce fait assez rapidement.

i gave 2 stars because i dont want the page to recommend any book similar to this one.

first of all this is the first time that im glad i found about this saga one is was finished because i cant even begin to imagine what it would have been reading the last book and waiting eagerly for this one and once it was out face this much boredom.
dont get me wrong, it was ok at first, but then... what happened to the characters? i was really sad to see a powerful character like Rose reduced to a Bella Swan, it was very depressing cant even remember why i kept going on once she was in Dimitri´s confinement, seriously she drifted away from her essence, that thing that made me like her so much in the past books.
other thing that i hated about this one was how predictable it was, like come on! i knew who Abe was after they first said his last name, with a last name like that you are obviously arabian and from there you can easily deduce he might be Rose´s turkish dad. And as for Dimitri´s death, pleaaase, it was obvious he was going to live from the moment Rose said she caught a weird angle when aiming at his heart, and that she somewhat was unsure of his death, well she can talk about herself i was sure then that he was going to appear later.
long story short, i was ver disappointed in Blood Promise after reading Shadow Kiss, after this book my only motivation to keep on reading the 2 left is that i dont really like lo leave things one i´ve started them, so im going to finish them, keeping a small hope the nest one is going to be really good. its really small though

plot: in this one rose basically goes off to russia to kill dimitri and she meets his family and then he like kidnaps her and then she kills him at the end. except then he sends her a letter and hes like im coming for u so she actually didnt kill him.
rose: love her as always
dimitri: hated him in this one but he was a strigoi so its not rlly him yk.
other characters: everything is pretty much the same
romance: rose and dimitri even had chemistry when he was a strigoi so that tells u something but they were still cute as strigoi ngl it just was not right and i was so sad when she killed him but then when he was like SURPRISE i was like YESSSSSS. christian and lissa are still cute.
this is my least fav in the series.
