“Let me in. Let me take care of you. Give me your trust, and I’ll give you the world. I’ll give you anything you ask for.”
I expected SO MUCH more from Killian after the glimpse we had in the Dangerous Beauty trilogy.
This duet has been great to read because the vibes are there, lots of passion and love and obsession BUT it’s missing plot and depth in terms of storyline and love story. Therefore, it feels instalovey and not profound enough. GREAT VIBES THO!
J.T Geissinger might be one of the best in writing smut scenes imo. I LOVE how passionate her characters are about each other but still how all her couples are not based only on sexual chemistry. It’s amazing. I’m super picky about my smut content and my girly writes it JUST how i like it

Killian tugged on my heart strings through the whole book. Even though he’s a little softer than the alphaholes I’m used to reading about, he was still very dominating and intense. His love for Juliette is unwavering and we love a man that puts his whole self into convincing the FMC to love him. Juliette was tough for me. She was infuriating and there were lots of times I screamed at this book (sorry Candice for subjecting you to that
3.75 stars. This was a pretty good book. Cruel Paradise is the second book in the Beautifully Cruel series. This is Killian and Juliet's story. Killian is Liam Black's twin brother, from the first book in the series, and we first met Killian in the Dangerous Beauty series. In Beautifully Cruel, Killian steps into Liam's life and assumes his identity so that Liam can leave and be safe (It's a long story. Read it.). So everyone thinks he is Liam Black now and that he is running the Irish mafia. But he has lots of secrets. He meets Juliet, when she and her friends break into one of his businesses and steal a truckload of diapers to donate to the poor. Juliet is the estranged daughter of an Italian mob boss. She hates her father, and the mafia, and deals out vigilante justice to give to the needy. Killian is fascinated and attracted to Juliet right away, but she wants nothing to do with him because she thinks he's a mobster himself. The two have a lot to work out between them, but Killian is very convincing. They fall in love and get the HEA they both deserve.
I enjoyed this story. Killian and Juliet had great chemistry and were very sexy together. I liked them both. Killian, especially, adored Juliet so much right away. I didn't love that Juliet pushed him away until nearly the end of the book. I wanted a bit more resolution and to see them together and happy. I also felt like the pacing was off. The beginning felt too slow moving, while the rest wrapped up a bit too quickly. ( ) Still, the chemistry between Juliet and Killian was so good that it made up for it.
Overall, this was a good read and a good addition to this fun, romantic suspense series. I look forward to more from this series and Ms. Geissinger in the future.

The Black brothers are here to stay, i loved Killian and Juliet each one was more stubborn than the other but they both had soft spots there was so much more to killian than the exterior Alpha male he loved her with all his being, sometimes juliet was making it difficult because she was annoying but it got better becuase she had her own issues with the lifestyle that killian was leading, it had thriller towards the end which added more to the story, it was a great read
Favorite quotes plus others i cant write all of them
“if it scares you, that’s the thing you should run fastest toward, because that’s where real life is. In the scary parts. In the messy parts. In the parts that aren’t so pretty.”
“I like you the way Newton liked gravity. once he found it, everything else in the universe made sense”

Like both the Hero and Heroine, and the side characters. Ending killed it a bit for me. It's not unreasonable for the heroine, with her background, to want all the information before committing.
