“because that’s what matt cannon does. he turns my otherwise in-control life upside down, every damn chance he gets.”

I LOVE THEM SO MUCH !!
sabrina cross is my BEST GIRL and matt cannon might be the one blond man i’d risk my life for.

also this book includes the tropes fake dating, “enemies”-with-benefits, AND “enemies”-to-lovers so whats not to like about it ??

bestie was intending to give this 3 stars until the ending. ahhhh that endinggg. next read should be Caraval. somebody slap me if I don't read caraval next

i am miserable right now matt and sabrina are the biggest idiots ever their relationship is everything and i'm fukcing lonely bye

4.5 stars

i was not expecting to like this as much as i did, but i can honestly say i LOVED this. matt and sabrina were both so likeable, and they had such great chemistry together. i loved the development of their relationship, and how realistic it felt. i do think the end was a bit rushed and i would've liked to see the ending drawn out a bit more, but i still loved this so much! definitely one of my top favourite lauren layne books.

This book was so much better than book one. I love a good fight / tension between characters. I think the characters in this book were so much more real (all staying within the romance book tropes but still) so I had a chance to feel WITH them.

Will read again.

Big fan of Lauren Layne's books. They are always fun, fast reads with strong, relatable characters and great banter.

Matt needs a "fixer" for his image after some pictures of him at a bachelor party appear in the Wall Street Journal. His bosses see it and tell him to clean up his image or lose his job. Enter Sabrina. She is a "fixer". Matt hires her to be his fake girlfriend. They have a history and are more like frenemies.

I loved getting the dual points of view, chapter by chapter. It made it more enjoyable to read. I really liked both Matt and Sabrina's friends, too. Looking forward to Kennedy and Kate's story. I would have liked to see more of Matt and Sabrina's time "dating" as it seemed kind of rushed. Overall, a great read.

Pretty good frenemies to lovers read...

I enjoyed Matt & Sabrina’s story. Their back and forth is pretty funny, and the tension between them is pretty steamy. I enjoyed the additional characters, and the main characters back stories. This is a good frenemies to lovers read!
