I just could not seem to get into this book. I know, when I don't like the MC, I'm not going to like the book. And I did not like Bianca. She acts like an awkward spoiled princess.

and her need to constantly say "mine" just seems like a scary obsessed stalker. and I just didn't buy the love story - it felt forced and rushed.

and the big reveal I assume I was supposed to be surprised by seemed so obvious early on that it just annoyed me for assuming I didn't already know.

all in all, the story at least had some interest to it, but just not my thing, I guess.

I didn't know what to expect with this book and I was very surprised that I enjoyed it. I agree with what others have said and it is like a Romeo and Juliet story.

The author allows you to create your own world within the book and you gain a very good picture. The characters are enjoyable, sweet and charming. I was very surprised a few times with this book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

The cover is lovely and the story is well written. A nice, easy and enjoyable read for all.

Being transferred to a boarding school where her parents teach isn't exactly the highlight moments in Bianca's life. She knows she won't fit in among the prestige of the students. Her only comfort is handsome and attractive Lucas. Bianca will do anything to be with him, but when secrets about Evernight start to unravel, the bond between the two is threatened.

Before I start this, let me just say that I think Claudia Gray has a nice writing style. However, her choice of how she spun her story wasn't that appealing to me. Especially the "twist" in the story- that one just made me mad. I've been reading about these characters' building up, invested my opinions and ideas about them. Then this big reveal happens and my nemesis info dump reveals itself. I found Bianca and Lucas' attraction a little annoying too. Lucas obviously has a problem with who Bianca is, to the point where even Bianca is annoyed, but noooo, he's the love of her life.

At the end of the book, Bianca is faced with a choice that could have contributed to her character development, but..nothing. Nada. She doesn't even seem to feel the pressure of it, which frustrates me to no end.

In the end, I'll just quote one of the characters in the book: "Curious, that you couldn't defend yourself. You are, after all, a vampire." And that, in a nutshell, is Bianca, of the Twilight Generation.

Even after reading the synopsis and a few chapters I still didn't know where this book was heading, which I loved. Then that moment happened and everything fell into place. You get a sense very quickly that Evernight Academy isn't your typical boarding school and that there is something special about Bianca. Lucas has his own secrets and tries to stay away from Bianca for her own protection. Another twist makes an already complicated situation, just that more difficult for Bianca and Lucas.

I'd compare it to Romeo & Juliet, but hope their story doesn't end tragically.

If you want to read some trash, vampire romance that you should be ashamed of yourself for even owning, let alone being seen reading on the train as a 20-something-year-old... Then this is the book for you.

With its try-hard twists, bloodlust and teenage hormones that should have led to a pregnancy or three, this book was so cringe-worthy that I couldn't help but throw it across the room before picking it back up.

Trust me, I feel shame for reading this.

I don't like Bianca - she's boring, spineless, and disloyal to anyone that's not Lucas. I don't like Lucas - he's a hypocrite, boring, and not Balthazar.

I'm two chapters in and this B won't stop blabbing 'mentally' about some dude she met a few hours ago for 10 minutes tops. you good, B? You sound obsessed girly, keep it together. this book is too cringy for me.

Definitely follows the typical teenage fantasy theme, but it kept my interest all the way through.
