It was cute and sexy. Liked the fat nb rep. Plot just didn't hold up quite enough for me and the pacing of the romance felt a little off. The third act breakup was so forced.
Like… eyeroll… 2.5 stars
The story was interesting at first then turned into a multitude of gratuitous sex filled chapters with no narrative benefit. The third act breakup was nonsensical and came out of nowhere, and the recover was so abrupt as well.
I actually really enjoyed each character's individual stories aside from the romance, but every time the romance came back I was seriously rolling my eyes.
TLDR: Set-up was good, characters were interesting, actual romance ruined it.

The cover says it all! I really enjoyed the concept of this one. The spicy was ~spicy~ and navigated queer sex realistically.
.
There were a few character flaws I struggled to get through and I think the third act breakup could've been done better.
.
I would recommend this for a quick, spicy summer read!

I had high expectations for this after seeing a friend rave about it. But I needed more plot, less spice.
The "friends to lovers" trope almost always starts off with the issue of romance possibly ruining the friendship. But even after agonizing over that for the first part of the book, the two MCs very quickly fell into a very intense relationship (that was basically all sex). Once they got together the book became all spice, no plot.

This book was a sweet examination of the ups and downs of navigating the transition from best friends to lovers for Ginny (they/them) and Elsie (she/her). I appreciated that the book highlighted both the challenges Ginny faced as a non-binary person and the sometimes more subtle challenges that Elsie faced as a pansexual woman who had often in the past been forced by society into performing heteronormativity. I liked the characters a lot and found their interactions compelling. The book included a good amount of spice, and the writing was strong all around. Overall, I would recommend this book to fans of friends-to-lovers romance and books about growing up and learning to identify and ask for what you really want in life.

My Best Friend's Honeymoon by Meryl Wilsner 🏳️🌈
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 / 🌶🌶🌶
Friends to lovers at an extremely spicy level.
This was a quick, spicy romance between two best friends which came with a fun relationship dynamic and good conversation. I enjoyed it for this most simple purpose.
Things I didn't like so much.
As with every friends to lovers romance you have the "We can't try to be together because if it doesn't work we'll ruin our friendship". Yet when the spice began, it came full throttle out if basically nowhere and there were no immediate objections. Which I found strange because of how much the previous sentiment was pushed.
Then, Spoiler-ish...
When we hit the 3rd act breakup, Elsie really took a mole hill, but then made it into a canyon and tried to fly from one side to the other. The conclusions she came to, still boggle my mind.
I do recommend for that spice and also nonbinary/plus size representation though.
