You know how you'll order something mild and then bam it's spicy AF? I didn't know much going on, ai just saw that someone I followed said it was smart and funny and it definitely made me giggle, wide eyed, and damn - this book was dang hot!

I'm not sure if I'm quite at that level yet to read regularly but it was addicting. I think the banter was fantastic and overall was great. Some of the sexy time scenes felt a little random, like the "what are you wearing scene." Overall I'm teetering between 4 and 5 stars but due to the fact that I couldn't stop listening, I'll say a 5!

I can forgive bad writing if the plot is good.
I can forgive bad plotting and characters if the writing is good.
I cannot forgive both.
All the wrong plot turns. The book was too short and useless at the end. The whole trope of calling your boss is gooooood, it should’ve stayed with that longer than 0.3 seconds. He should’ve found out and kept up the pretense to build tension etc.
So much potential for “hot” office scenes and him pretending like he doesn’t know.
Suuuuuuuuuuuch a missed opportunity.

But alas. Insta love and the word “hot” came out of the supposedly different characters so many times I literally had to take a breather from the cringe.
Who even uses cringe??? But this book… so many scenes…. Cringe.
Wish I hadn’t wasted the time to read it.
AND ON VALENTINES?
Unforgivable.

Who doesn’t love an enemies to lovers trope?! Not only enemies to lovers, but opposite’s attract. She’s sunshine, he’s rain, and I’m here for it all.

Some parts I felt were too quick, escalated too fast, which made it unrealistic, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t entertained and giddy during the book.

Also, the book is free on the Nook, so that’s definitely an added bonus!

We love a good premise/set up lol. I wasn't crazy about either MC and liked them less as the story progressed. Still a fun read if you're into billionaire romance!
