I was unsure about the first 75% of the book and then the remaining part left me absolutely devastated.  The final 10% wrecked me.  

I wasn’t sure where it was going to end up after not enjoying the second book but I enjoyed the overall journey. Gonna go cry.

I loved the first two books in this trilogy. The final installment was...okay, I guess? Ultimately, compared to the other two, it was a disappointing ending. The pacing of this novel was all off. Not much happened for 200 pages and then a ton of things happened in the last 75 pages. The ending was weird and the epilogue felt rushed. 

I enjoyed the continued outstanding character development of both main and side characters. Whitten is definitely very good at that aspect. Overall, I enjoyed the trilogy and thought the world-building was fantastic. I just wish the final book was better developed.

This is hard. This book was tedious to read, I wanted to get to the end so badly. I’m angry at how it ended, I wanted more. The characters had no arch, no development, and yet I didn’t really want them to change. I’m in the middle. Maybe I’ll have to change this rating when I think on it some more. For now, I’m rating it this high because of the hole it left in me.
