loads of lore and slow burn!

This is absolutely way more than I expected out of the first book or the prequel mini series!!!! I am absolutely floored by all the questions that were answered so beautifully and I can’t wait for the new questions to be answered in the next book! The slow burn was still spicy once we got there and got the anticipation was electric. I laughed I cried I sweated I felt all the feels!!! And I cannot be more appreciative of the author for taking the time and space to write this!!! 100000% better than I anticipated. Hooked from the very start. Watching these two grow was … I have no words it was so good. My heart feels so full of love and appreciation for this book. I def cannot wait for the next one!!!

This book was completely different from the main series. I really wanted to know about the backstory behind Weldir & Lindiwe and it did not disappoint. It truly was a slow burn but not one that was boring in any way. Though Weldir is a bit more detached at first and it was hard to relate to him. One thing that did surprise me was how many children they had in comparison to the ones i thought they had and their ranking in the sibling timeline i had made. I also didn’t know the duskwalkers were spread out across the world so we might get the story of the ones that live across the pond. Nathair my sweet favorite baby, his death was sad more on how it affected the parents and Orson aka Merikh. I can’t wait for us to get the second book and i can completely this family tree.
