I enjoyed being back in this universe. I will say I felt like I kinda got lost in the sauce at times and the plot was intense. Different people, different locations, and whatnot made me take it slower so I wasn’t confused but in that sense, I wished the plot had slowed down a bit for me. But it was so beautiful how much Weldir at all times wanted Lindiwe to be happy. Even when it felt so outside of his scope. He did his best.

An interesting addition to the Duskwalker world. Lindiwe and Weldir were definitely the most mysterious characters in the main series so it was interesting to have their perspectives. As is was more a collection of perspectives over the years, there wasn't really an overall plot like the other books but it made sense as it was showing the progression of the characters. The rating is low becasue of some cringe language and the world building elements that are like Earth and history but slightly changed in a way that made me confused.

if weldir has no haters im dead. not joking.

lindi my beloved if you wanna come about 300 years into the future and idk go to dinner or something im free literally everyday.... aha unless?

honestly this should probably be 5 stars because i loved learning that the rest of the world does in fact exist outside of australia in this universe, however weldir existing, alongside my confusion about which child is which made me bring it down... and the whole miscommunication trope thing idk it's just not my cup of tea

keen to wrap up this series later this year but sad to be letting it go!
