This book was the perfect combination of funny and swoon-worthy; I LOVE IT!
funny lighthearted reflective tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character

The first few chapters of this I truly wasn’t sure what I was delving into, like it seemed so much like watching two people who don’t like each other forcing themselves to get married out of some “obligation to his mother”. I am glad I kept reading though.
There’s a moment when Nicholas says

“I don’t really care what you want, to be honest. I don’t like you again yet. But I’m going to. And you’re going to like me again, too. This house is going to save us.”
And it started to click for me that there was something for him and he was determined to make it work properly. These two had to break down the foundation of their relationship, become their most authentic selves to then fall in love with each other again and I ate it up. Their HEA the way the truly wanted felt so much more earned and deserved.
I loved the surrounding cast of characters, seeing Naomi appreciate her growing found family and adored seeing Nick’s mam get a good telling off.

DID NOT FINISH

Characters are very unlikeable. I didn't care what happened to either of them.

You had one job, that is to prank each other and make them leave you. Ugh, failed successfully.

Long review (with spoilers) -

The story is of a couple who are in a rut in their relationship after they got engaged and moved in, very quickly after they started dating. It revolves around how they both try to prank each other into making the other person call off the wedding but they realize they still love each other and end up getting married in the backyard of their house.

Enemies to lovers but they’re already lovers? Shut up and take my money.
