This book was amazing. I was a little worried along the way but was satisfied with the ending. Beautiful romance that tells the true story of pain one can experience when trying to find their happily ever after.

I was looking for something light and entertaining and this fit the bill, and was even a little meatier than I expected. You definitely need to set aside your disbelief to enjoy it -- just sail along with the story without asking too many questions. But, I was impressed with the character development and the depiction of adult friendship which is a weird thing.
The story was...mehhh...a bit saccharine maybe? A little too neat? I'm not sure what my exact criticism is, but it's mild. I read the whole thing, and even stayed up late a couple times because I was enjoying it. The whole theme about mothers and daughters was a little heavy-handed. Not all mothers try to control their daughters and not all daughters long to escape their mothers' control.
If you like stories about families and friendship, infused with a little mystery and a little magic (or hints of it, anyway) you might like this one.
