I'm gradually adding books I've read in 2021 to give a true reflection of the books I've read since keeping records. This was the first book I read in 2021, and is what kick started my reading journey having put reading on the back burner whilst bringing up the children, previously being an avid reader. I'm not a fan of this book about a person held captive, marking the 12 days of Christmas, with gifts given each day, each one more horrific than the previous one. Its Misery meets gone girl, with the ending disappointing. The first half if the book was better than the last. Not for me

This was an interesting read, with a plot twist I didn’t see coming.
A typical story about money, control and narcissism. Made for a great read.

Not my normal read but I did enjoy it
Plot twists were not expected and I liked them
Wish there was more in the epilogue tho - what happened was implied but literally another 10 pages would’ve left me way more satisfied
