This book was so much more than I was expecting. There were so many moments that were wonderful and lovely. I wrote down so many quotes. There were so many moments where Alexei had thoughts or said things that felt very relatable to me, and it was so validating reading those.
But mostly, as someone who enjoys hiking, it was so much fun to read a romance novel with hiking involved! I had no idea that this kind of novel exists. And the fact that these characters were at crossroads in their lives and had turned to hiking was so striking to me. I would definitely recommend this book to other people for a queer romance! But I will include the warning that this made me want to go on a hike, and especially to go to Crater Lake in Oregon - something I might actually try to do!

A sweet and reflective story, I loved the character development of Alexi and how passionate the love of Alexi and Ben is and how it’s written. I think the letters were my favorite part in how beautifully and openly full of heart and thought and love they were.
