I flew through this as it was so well written, and such an interesting concept. I can honestly say I've not read anything quite like it!

A marvellous book; brilliantly, thoughtfully written. Mr. Haig speaks to the crazy stupid things that humans do and holds that up against the crazy beautiful things we are capable of. Together, these create a beautiful portrait of what it is to be human. This book ultimately is a celebration of love, and of humanity itself.

Sometimes the right book comes along at just the right time. A friend recommended Matt Haig's Reasons To Stay Alive and I loved it, and this just happened to be first book by the same author that I found.
I was delighted to find many of the same ideas expressed in this book. The Humans is full of wonderful insights about what it means to be human, and how we might cope with the inevitable challenges that our humanness presents us with.
I would like all my self help books to be disguised as alien body-snatcher stories. Why are there not more in this genre?

Wow...my second Matt Haig novel. I am hooked! Despite the language sprinkled throughout, I enjoy this authors writing style. I was laughing out loud as the alien first detailed his impressions of humans and his social blunders trying to masquerade as one initially. His personal growth from there was endearing. Wonderful read! How to Stop Time and The Humans were very different novels but both 5 plus stars!
