Kniha byla vyprávěna z pohledu více postav a vy jste si ke každé rychle vytvořili nějaký ten vztah (občas i negativní).
4,5/5*

The last 3/4 was excellent, didn't like the long wrap up at the end however. The idea behind the story was great, very interesting!

Not a dry story at all.

This was such a believeable story, it made me refrain from drinking during my reading. Every drip felt like such a privilege.

It reminded me a lot of the corona pandemic. The craziness of the public, the desperation, the endless days, the waiting for improvement. If this triggers you, I don’t recommend it.

I thought it felt like a whole netflix series in a book. So much happens with so many cool individuals who all add their own thing to the plot. I cared for some of them, and could have done without others.

I love the realism of it, the gruesomeness of the responses and the groups ways of trying to survive. I truly went along and thought through choices alongside them.

I do wish the ending would have packed a bigger punch. More on PTSD perhaps. Or memorials. I wanted to see more of an effect on the community. And to actually hear about how the drought got fixed. It would have made it more full circle for me.

Loved the voice but is didn’t keep me coming back for more. Also, couldn’t understand why they didn’t leave years before this happened when the start getting signs. And why they decided to stay after the event especially if the signs of this happening again were still there!!

Exhausting, but not unfairly agonizing. And unfortunately, it doesn’t feel as far fetched as readers may hope, especially now. That being said, it is truly a weary tale—at every turn where a moment of saving or hope is possible, it fizzles out. That being said, I appreciate the realistic approach to the story, especially the ending. While it is importamt to read books that challenge us, this one was a bit too tough for my taste.
