This is a journey and as a whole it was beautiful and heartbreaking. It took most of the book for me to love the main characters. Joe (and Remy!) I instantly fell for, and that hurt even more.
Not the spiciest of books, but considering there's a dying man in the back seat most of the book, that's not too shocking.

4.5โญ๏ธ this was my first LGBTQ+ romance and I LOVED it!! I loved the idea of a rom com about death, and I gotta admit, this book had me shedding a few tears (only a few books have done that). I felt a bond with some of the characters and MAN I could read a book with Joe any day. Iโd love a short prequel of Joe and Remyโs life together. Iโve learned to love road trips and I struggle with grief myself, so overall this book was top tier for me. Loved the autors acknowledgments and notes at the end too! 13/10 recommend!!โค๏ธ๐งก๐๐๐๐๐

This is a rom-com about death. I LOVED it. One of my favorite reads this year. Prepare to be devastated and healed in equal measure. This story digs into end of life, caretaking, and loss to a degree I did not expect and it was beautifully done. The heavier elements are well-balanced with romance and humor. This author is really on a roll and I canโt recommend her work enough.
