What a roller coaster ride just amazing. Callie is so strong and I love that she chose her own path and was determined to not let the Gods or Magnar steal her free will. Montana is on to something with solving the curse. I love how she is breaking all the laws to be with Eric. I love how protective Eric is off her too. I don’t know where this story is headed but I’m here for the ride. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good vampire story. I gave this book 5 stars because it was hard to put down and the plot had me on my toes.

Even though the riddle brought me to this conclusion the writing still held me in a vice. I’m obsessed with this series
I received an ARC of this book and it is by FAR my favorite of this series so far. Lowish spice compared to the sisters' other series I've read, but this STORY. SO much happened in this book and I 100% gasped in multiple places. No spoilers but the water scene gave me ALL the anxiety for a hot minute, and the rollercoaster of an ending. I shouldn't be surprised at this point though with the Twisted Sisters. Erik is still my favorite. Get me book 5 NOW!

Wow so this book was another Twisted Sister rollercoaster that I cant seem to get off of.
So this book was a five star read for me because of how invested I get in these characters. There is always such high stakes for the Twisted Sister's characters and it makes me feel like I am going to die while reading their books. I can feel the struggles of the twins in finding their own paths and coming to terms with each other's choices. I can feel the despair that is felt at the hands of the insufferable gods, and I can see how the history of our male heart throbs is twisted and convoluted. There is a serious element of miscommunication in these books between the vampires and the slayers.
The element of the gods toying with the vampires and slayers might be the most interesting thing about these books. Both sides are the same. They have both been used and abused by spiteful and immature gods. I loved at the end how the vamps and the slayers are starting to see eye to eye this way in a soft and tentative truce. I am waiting for them to start fighting together somehow. I like the portrayal of the gods being vain and spiteful because that's true to canon for these types of gods. Humans are not important to them and they use them as toys, this story really shows that. This is something Twisty Sistys are very good at and I can see how elements of this series were amplified and pulled into Zodiac Academy.
I am really pumped to read the next one because of how this book ended. I think that things are about to get wildly interesting. I am very interested in the idea that they introduced about the vamps living symbiotically with the indigenous tribe they discovered, I feel like this is something that can be explored as a viable solution if they destroy all biters and reform their vamp population.
One element that frustrated me in this book is Magnar and his stupid thick meathead. He orders Callie around and makes STUPID choices. I am glad that Callie ends up beating the compulsion because Magnar needs a good slap upside the head. Love him but that man is manning too close to the sun. I was also sad we didn't get many Erik moments till the end. I was screaming in my head wanting to know what he was going through and his experience but alas we were kept in the dark.
Overall an addictive read, I don't know if I could ever be overly critical of these books. I know that they aren't going to win a Pulitzer and to me that's so ok. Sometimes I just need a raw and dirty story.

This book just puts me in more of a chokehold with every book. These sisters have definitely been on a journey and I can’t wait to see where it goes next! I’m loving the back stories we’re getting along the way as well! I’m very anxious and excited to see how some of these relationships will work out! I’m seriously obsessed with it and it’s easily becoming one of my favorites!
