I read this book as a teenager (30 years ago) and still remember it
If I found it today I would buy it and reread.

I can't rate this critically. I remember when the book came out & my mom buying it for me.  It heavily affected me as a preteen reader. While it is a little dated, it was an emotional and fun reread. So glad I decided to read it again.

I read this book years ago, more years than I care to remember and it has always stayed with me. So much so that I had too track it down and post this review. Falling in love is scary, amazing and so worth it all and this book just gives you all the damn feels!

3 stars for the writing / 5 stars for nostalgia- averages to 4. It was better in my memory.
emotional lighthearted sad medium-paced

Since I last read this book as an impressionable tween who wasn't yet so cynical about life or fiction, for that matter, I can't speak critically to its quality. I can only say that I remember where I was and how this book made me feel; that is, I sobbed my eyes out when I finished this book. A little over a decade later, I struggle to find books that make me feel that much, so I can say that this book accomplishes something.

I read this book one Thanksgiving many moons ago. This title and story has stuck with me all those years. I cried my eyes out!!!

When I read it for the forst time I was in similar age the protagonist and omg I ATE THIS SHIT UP.
Lately I've been in sort of nostalgia mood and I've dug up some of my fave Sweet Dreams.
This was a mistake.
I REPEAT: THIS WAS A MISTAKE.
It's not nearly as well written as I remembered it to be. It's just cringe.
Take this advice from me: let the past stay in the past. don't ruin your sweet dreams teen memories.
