This was my introduction to Meghan Quinn’s books and when I tell you I absolutely loved this book so much that it made me want to absolutely devour everything else she has written!
The banter between Pacey and all of his teammates was kind of exactly what you’d expect from a bunch of guys who are more like family than teammates. When Winnie’s mini cooper gets stuck and she finds herself at this cabin with all these hockey players she somehow fits right in.
The chemistry between Winnie and Pacey was there from the very beginning. They both had this weird deja vu where they felt like they already knew each other, but neither one of them could place it….until Pacey does. He keeps it to himself though and to say that doesn’t cause some major issues when it all comes out is an understatement.
I loved the found family, they both fall fast & hard & overcoming past hurts that Meghan put in this books. Of course there is a lot of 🌶🌶🌶 too! I can’t wait to see what comes for the rest of the Agitators!

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½
Couple: Pacey & Winnie

❛Claimed. Owned. It was how you gripped me. How your lips roamed mine. How you put your body into the kiss, your entire body. You made me drown in need❜

Doing more new authors this year and dipping my toes into romcoms. This did not disappoint on the funny, seriously had me cackle a couple of times.
I was so confused with all the names but once you get to know the guys it becomes easier. They all have different personalities and were some of the best parts of this book.
Pacey and Winnie were super cute and the banter was great. This was a slow burn but they both fell in only a couple of days. The ending was a bit of a miss for me but overall glad I took a chance on this book.

If I can give you any advice, it’s to listen to the audiobooks of Megan Quinn stories. Her books are already hilarious, but hearing the story out loud in a male and female voice just adds to the storytelling. This was another romantic comedy from Quinn and so enjoyable.
Winnie is on a road trip to honor her late mother and through some mishaps ended up at the doorstep of a house of hockey players on break. That’s where she meets Pacey and they quickly develop a relationship. I thought the story was very lighthearted and unserious so I had fun. Books don’t always need to be super deep and this one is not super deep. My one critique (and this may just be because I listened instead of read it) I hated her girl best friend. I found her over the top fear mongering of the public so obnoxious and not funny nor cute at all. Everything Winnie or her guy best friend did anything this girl bitched about and cried that they were going to be killed. She was nuts, and it was not humorous whatsoever. I feel like there’s a difference in being cautious because you’re an avid true crime fan and actually just having a problem and she just had a problem. It was annoying and distractive and just unnecessary. If I didn’t think I was gonna miss important parts of the story, I would have skipped ahead anytime that girl came up.
