I wish I could give half stars because this is closer to a 4.5 for me. All the characters are likable and that’s a big deciding factor for me. I liked that both characters had similar struggles with trust issues that they have to navigate together. I am a fan of when romances build slowly and start with friendship and this book did that. I love a good smutty book, but appreciated that this was less smut and more romance. Definitely ordered the second book.

I really enjoyed this opposites attract / enemies to lovers between Tali who needs a job and Hayes who needs an assistant.
Mr grumpy Hayes spends most of his time bedding one night stands and Tali spends most of her time as his assistant trying to get rid of them the next day, until things change and Hayes starts showing the lovely person he really is.
I loved both characters equally, it frustrated me a bit how out upon Tali was by her family, but loved how Hayes helped.
A promising start to a new to me series that I can't wait to see where it goes next

for me

I loved this book. I saw a lot of hype around it and now I understand. This book was great. There wasn’t too much drama or conflict. The mother and sister were annoying but I like how the MC stood up for herself. I loved the banter between the love interests. They were so cute together. The MMC being so in love with her from the beginning was so cute. I didn’t really hate everything about this book. I am not a fan of the whole, three some sleeping with everybody thing at the beginning, i just don’t like it but it was easy to overlook. The MMC and plot made up for it. The plot was so good after that i basically forgot about it. Now this book was great and was close to spectacular but it wasn’t. It needed a little bit more for me to be five stars. It was close. I think if it was dual POV it might have been five stars. But I really enjoyed it. It was kind of a light read for me. It wasn’t too deep or dark. I really enjoyed it. I would recommend. Since it was so good and I just like the lightness of it I am going to add .5 stars. Overall 4.5/5
