this was my first of elizabeth’s books and it did not disappoint! the humor and banter in this book was so refreshing and hilarious. i adored the back and forth banter and cute relationship tali and hayes had. they felt like they just got each other even from the beginning. they were so seamless together, real soulmates. knowing all the things he thought about her and how he was almost in love at first sight with her had me squealing!!! grumpy boss to lovesick man who enjoys his life because he finally has someone to share it with was so sweet. tali was silly, sweet, and loveable. i’m glad she stood up for herself and realized her value. talihayes were sooooo good. their cute moments had me squealing. the slow burn was definitely slow and i wished i got a little more at the end, but it was still so good!

This book had me smiling and laughing and kicking my feet. Then sobbing uncontrollably. I loved Hayes and Tali so much, i can’t remember the last time I’ve loved a couple as much as I do them. I’m sad that it’s over but I know I’ll be thinking about them for a long time.

More a workplace romance than enemies to lovers

Not really an enemies to lovers romance, more a billionaire boss trope, with the twist that the boss is a Hollywood plastic surgeon and his new employee, Tali, has to work at his home rather than an office. The story was engrossing and well written, though I did find Tali mildly irritating for her hang ups (although we are given a back story to explain why she is the way she is). Hayes (ridiculous name) was actually quite lovely, which is why I found it annoying when Tali couldn't see what was staring her in the face - though I suppose we wouldn't have had much of plot if she had.

I would have preferred a dual POV rather than having all the story told from Tali's perspective. The epilogue was also a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, this was a good read that ticked most of the boxes a good romantic story should have.

Read in 3 sittings but finished 85% in one, I read until 5am.. Cute and light fun read, not much plot but I enjoyed reading it and loved their banter.
