The primary story was fairly interesting but the other short stories did not grab my attention.

I love Jojo Moyes but I'm not a fan of short stories so I was quite eager to see how this would sit with me. I loved it, which came as a surprise to me.

It was such a fun, easy read, but the stories were quite interesting. The longest story is of course Paris for One, which is the first book. At over 100 pages, it felt almost like a mini book on its own. I found it a great way to get into the book, as it is much shorter than whay I'm used to, but not too short that I felt like I was thrown into the deep end.

The other stories were very short (some of them just over 10 pages!) but oddly enough, I felt that that was enough for me. I didn't find myself wanting more, or feeling disoriented if I felt like I was thrown into the middle of a story and I had no history.

For instance, "Honeymoon in Paris" features two characters from Jojo's novel, The Girl You Left Behind, which I haven't read (although I want to!). I feared I would like this one least, since I didn't have the full backstory. However, I loved it, and it made me want to read the book even more than I already did!

The stories are witty, the characters make you feel (even if you've barely spent a page with them), the writing is to the point. . . All in all it was a fantastic read, that made me tear up and laugh (or rather, snort) out loud. I'd definitely read more short stories if they were all as fun as these!
