I knew the author had the potential to write a great book because I enjoyed her writing style but not the book. However, this one was a definite hit. I loved it!

Rhett was cute. Jules was cute, too, but I didn't felt the same excitement as I did while reading book one.
I loved how Rhett grew as a person in this book. Jules had such a positive effect on him. And I loved his mom. I wish they were more focused on the relationships around Rhett as well.
It was definitely not a bad read, but I expected more. So, 3 stars.

Ive read and translated it for the dutch publisher. I loved Presley and Tess and was a bit tentative about Rhett and Julia. But god... Vicki did it again. She made this story, the setting and the characters sooo real, it makes you feel like they are part of your family.
The feelings were so raw and everything was so genuine. They both grew a lot during the story and I think it's what Vicki does best. Her charactera grow and learn and have the best quotes ever. I loved this.

I didn’t think it was possible for my heart to fit another rockstar in it, but Vic managed it! Presley was amazing, but Rhett was the perfect lost rockstar we all need to join in the journey of his self discovery.
If you’ve read any of Victoria’s (Victoria L. James) books then you know you’re getting angst, emotion, a real story with incredible writing; but you also finish a book with a sense of fulfilment. It’s a real talent to make a reader feel like they’re part of the story and she knocks it out of the park every single time.
Julia was a badass who I want as a best friend. She’s fiercely loyal and so independently strong considering the heartache she’s been through. She fought back from the ashes and made something of herself that she’s damn good at. And then there’s swoon-worthy, asshole Rhett. Lost in the void of chasing a dream he’d already achieved because the happiness he thought he’d gain was non-existent. But he is happy with the dirty rock lifestyle he’d always craved, isn’t he? Both Julia and Rhett are quite literally the best parts of themselves when they’re together, helping each other realise that giving up control of where they think their lives should take them could lead to something they’d been looking for all along.
If you’ve not read Vicki James or her alter ego Victoria L. James, I strongly urge you to do so to experience worlds you’ll wish you were a part of.

After reading Cherry beats I thought you can't get better than that! well, I was so wrong, this book has it all, love, secrets, broken pasts, everything you want in a book it keeps you hooked from the start to the end.

Rhett's story had to be told and what a story it was, at first I didn't think I would take to him, but as the book grows you just fall for him more and more. I fell in love with Jules from the start, a headstrong woman that knew her Job and also what she wanted.

Rhett was the bad boy front man of Youth Gone Wild, using drugs, drinking, and screwing everyone he wanted, but really he was a lost boy trying to convince himself, that was until Jules came into his life and she was the only woman on his mind, day and night. They both had trust issues, they both didn't want to commit and fall in love, but they did and what a ride it was.

Jules was the band's publicist she was the one that kept everything together, kept the band out of trouble and crushed all the bad press and saves Rhett from himself, she suffered seeing him destroy himself for three years till the day he saw her for the beautiful woman that she was not just the bossy publicist, but she wasn't ready to commit, it wasn't time.

I loved this book, the characters from the other book, the band's interaction, Pressley and Tess, but most of all the love story between Rhett and Jules. Congratulations on another brilliant Rock Story!

Oh my aching heart really went through it during this rollercoaster of a story. Emotions were pulled from every fibre of my body and tangled in one big giant ball of feelings. Beautifully crafted, Ms James is an expert in creating characters that connect deep to your soul and my god, Rhett Ryan and Julia Speed are characters that will become legendary. They are perfect imperfection, both with their own history of demons and together, they were so real, so intense, so gritty and positively explosive.

Told in Rhett's point of view, the emotion bleed through the bewitching flow of words. We discover a rockstar with the world at his feet, but is hollow and vulnerable. His tight-knotted layers are exquisitely revealed and the strong magnetic forces of his forbidden feelings for his band's publicist, Julia, unearthed a tidal wave of feels that completely floored me. Julia's own internal fight of being in control in all aspects of her life, always being the dependable one, is disabling and heartbreaking. To watch her unleash her wings and go for what she wants in life, was beautiful and inspiring.

My words just can't do this story justice. It's phenomenal and is a MUST READ.

After already having read Cherry Beats on its release and knowing this book was coming, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Dirty Rhett!

I was already falling in love with Rhett from what we heard of him in CB so I knew I was only going to fall more. In fact, all I can say is that he made my lady parts quiver
