Don’t play with my HTine sis. I’m not gonna lie, that vulnerability is tough, but I hear you and I’m trying, B.
So I started this back in February and then picked it up and finished and I just love Brene Brown’s work. She is so easy to follow and read, especially on more of a self help/guided reading sort of book. This gave me great insight to new leadership practices to include in my professional life!
As usual when I am reading her work, I have to stop frequently to write note, think about how to apply a process, consider new perspectives on things, and nevermore so than in Brene's book on leadership. This took me ages to get through as I so often read a page and then stopped to write 3 pages of notes on how I wanted to implement some of these hard conversations in my own professional world, or even to consider ways to integrate these exercise into my own upcoming leadership promotion. A wonderful book for anyone interested in leadership that is about actually connecting with and keeping people, not just management and numbers.
Brene Brown is a goddess of leadership and personal growth.

There were a lot of good little nuggets in here, but also a lot of quoting her previous work which is…interesting. When a percentage of your current work is saying, look back at my old stuff, it’s a little concerning. I could relate the business models to initiatives at school and how we function, though, and that was helpful for me.
Dare to Lead itself was a good book. My issue was that it was basically a repeat of Daring Greatly and Rising String put together, with a few business anecdotes. I preferred Darjng Greatly, but I would say read one or the other, but both is unnecessary. Would love to have seen more novel content. But if this was the one someone chose to read - there is still lots of insights to gain!
Everyone is a leader, in one way, shape or form. I recommend everyone to read this.
