The first third of the book was extremely slow in my opinion, which is weird because the rest of it was pretty packed. I enjoy fast paced novels, and the ideas and world are very unique. I really enjoyed the plot in the last half.

I also had problems with some of the connections between characters. Too much build up, not enough actually getting to know them.

I feel like this is one of the silliest books, if not the silliest book, I have ever finished, but I also couldn’t put it down? I definitely wouldn’t call it good, but it reads like something smutty off fanfiction dot net circa 2002, so it’s a certain kind of cozy (for something with a fair amount of gore in it). I’m about Maas’s age so it makes sense.

It’s a little noncon so if you’re sensitive to that maybe avoid it.

I finally got around to reading this book.  I liked it, but it didn't capture me like Rebecca Yarros's "Fourth Wing" (Empyrean series) did.

I can’t believe I’ve actually read this. Graphic audio is wonderful, there should be graphic audio for every book ever cuz that was wonderful (except for the moaning) some of it was really funny cuz I was listening to it at 1.5x speed (like a normal person) and listening to sped up moans, laughs and music was definitely a bonus.
I’m excited to see how she ends up with Rhys cuz like she seems happy but like I can already tell she’s better with Rhys LIKE COME ON
I do really like Lucien cuz he’s just a mean twink. If he ends up being not even a bit fruity I will be angry. (And I will be cuz this is SJM so I’m not expecting much)

I enjoyed learning the lore of the world along with the human protagonist.
I loved the pace, it started slow but intensified pretty quickly around the middle. The second half of the book felt different from the first, a lot more intense and good payoff in pace.
The slow build romance between two characters who one hated each other (very beauty and the beast) kept me reading, and after that all the little mysteries and
the tension of Feyre’s individual trials
.
I found Feyre a little flat at times and hope she can find more depth in her motivations in the sequels.
