🇬🇧: I was a little afraid to start in this book, because it is such a hype with the bookcommunity. The only thing that I can say about that is that that is totally for good reason! I immediately felt bad for feyre and when she met tamlin I immediately fell in love with him and their bond. Every karakter is written in a way that you get an clear image of all of them. The way the book is written is also amazing
I finnished it in 2,5 days (a record for me) and I can't wait to dive in in the other parts of this series. I recommend this book to everyone who loves romantasy with spice. Because the spice that is in this book is really good 🫣

In the end I did really like this book, but it started out soooo slow, & even with the beauty and the beast aspects, I just had trouble getting into it. But once things started getting good (a lot 75% through the a book!), I couldn’t put it down.
I’ve heard a lot about this series & i went into knowing some spoilers and such, and it is driving me nuts, that everything I knew about this series going into book 1, DOES NOT track with book 1! Particularly the love triangle & everyone’s love for Rhysand over Tamlin. Tamlin is such a sweetheart, & Rhysand, though he did get a bit better as the book went on, he is very much an ass! Maybe one you love to hate, but an ass all the same. I don’t get it!
Now, I have to go start book 2 and see if it will help clear up more of my confusion! lol

I’ve put off reading this book for a while now because everyone has gone nuts over it. I also never read fantasy books that revolve around other mythical creatures aside from wizards (Harry Potter <3).

I really enjoy Feyre’s perspective, as she’s an artist and describes scenes in such beautiful detail. The way that she describes seeing different landscapes sounded so incredible. This was a lot darker of a book than I’ve ever read though, and I’m not font of smut—there wasn’t too much of it though and it’s easy to skip over because the book isn’t built around it (thank you Maas).

I enjoyed this book, maybe even more so than other fantasy books that I’ve rated higher, but there were more details of this book that I didn’t particularly like than compared to others, so that’s why I give it a 4/5.
