It's 1:32am and I had to stifle a scream after I read that freaking last word. All I can think of is "OH MY GOD". I knew it. I knew it would happen. I mean there must be a chance and I was actually expecting for it but it still surprised me. I was caught off guard, THANKS A LOT LAUREN OLIVER.
I swear this book is a hundred times better than the first one. I mean I liked her story with Alex but I've learn to like Julian too. Dang! That switch from then and now is great. And the plot twists. And the ending, I hate to admit it but, I loved it.
I SERIOUSLY NEED TO READ THE NEXT BOOK LYK RYT NAW!!!
But why must you do that huh. WHY. I've been frustrated with a book once or twice BUT THIS, WHY.

Another love interest, still heteronormative, and still very cliched.
This book is trying to be man vs society, but the author is lacing the vs society part. We hear about how evil and nasty the government is, but they never show it. They don't do anything drastic for the reader to go: "G a S P, my GO O D SIR, W H y?"
It isn't written nicely. the only thing good about this book was maybe the prose.

This book started slow for the first, I want to say, 30 or so pages. Then it was like jumping into a capsule pool of emotions and swimming, back and forth, between waves of every possible...I'm speechless.
Let's just say that this book made Requiem my most anticipated book for 2013! February cannot get here soon enough.

Book was alright but a little disorganised. I kept expecting a lot of things to be addressed but they were left alone.

mysterious

fast-paced
Me gustó más el primero, pero me encantó las idas y vueltas entre el presente y el pasado.
I need some time before I recover from falling off that cliffhanger... Review soon
** EDIT:
Let me just say this before I forget: LAUREN OLIVER, I HATE YOU. I've been putting off reading this book just because I KNEW it would end in a giant cliffhanger. I was right.
So this book really destroyed me. It completely broke protocol! Typically, when a series amazes me so much in the first book, it's really difficult to do the same with the second one. This second book practically knocked it out of the park! Lauren Oliver really outdid herself here.
In this book, we are told two different stories: Lena then and Lena now . We see what happened when Lena got to the Wilds, but also what's happening in her "present day".
I found this technique to be confusing at first, but then got used to it pretty quickly. I found the book to be more interesting that way.
I also understood WHY it was written that way. I felt like I actually DID see how Lena evolved into the person she is now.
I didn't think I'd like this book (because it was lacking Alex in it) but I found that it was just as heart-stopping as the first.
You know what this book didn't lack? Lauren Oliver's beautiful and poetic writing. She has a way to convey what the characters are feeling, without the need to explicitly write it down. She could literally transport you to each of the settings.
There was only one detail that I didn't like, and that was the pacing of the book. When I was 75% into the book, I still didn't feel like many "significant" events had occured.
Of course, the last 25% of the book made up for everything else, but still.
To sum everything up: Pandemonium was a great, action packed chronicle of Lena now as a member of the Resistance. There was a lot of emotion and twists present, even more than in Delirium . This book definitely did NOT fall into the "second book disaster" curse. I am anxiously awaiting the release of Requiem .
4.5 stars.
