I’m glad I tried this series again. Originally I read book 1 too close to two other YAA Dystopian series.m.
Now with many years and even more books later (and little memory of the other series plots) I’m able to enjoy this one!

Oliver's writing style is good, but can become lengthy and boring. Her characters are interesting, but for part of the book, Lena reminded me of Bella from Twilight which I found incredibly annoying.
Amazing sequel to Delirium by Lauren Oliver. I was glued to my kindle (app) until the very last second with this one, and am counting the days until Requiem comes out in March!

I have to say, I NEVER believed that Alex was dead. Throughout the entire book, I kept waiting for something to confirm my suspicions. That being said, Julian didn't grow on me until the very last chapter, which of course is the chapter where the prisoner that escaped the crypts after the bomb turns out to be Alex. I wanted Lena to be with Alex, he's her soulmate, the one that changed her world. The end of Delirium broke my heart, and I felt Lena's pain in this book, every time she thought of Alex. Lauren Oliver has such an amazing way of capturing emotions in her writing that I WAS Lena. I was torn with her about Julian, and was so proud of her when she decided to not be idle, and try to save a life. I was overjoyed with her when the rescue was a success and everyone made it back to Salvage ok. And now, while I wait to see how she handles Alex being alive, I know it won't be an easy decision for her, and that there will be so much more to it than Alex or Julian.
I tip my hat to Lauren Oliver for such great writing, and I truly hope that if this series makes it to the big screen, that it captures the essence and emotion of her writing.

The whole book disappointed me. I know dystopian is kind of in lately, thanks to The Hunger Games and Divergent, but both the books were kind of fast-paced and unexpected. This, however, was not.

But it was kind of like, this is probably what's going to happen, but probably not because if she does that, then everything would be really stupid. But then add in a new love interest and BAM I knew Alex was still alive. Oh, and I knew that someone who helped her along the way was her mother, I mean, they were bound to meet at some point.
I swear, if her best friend (ex now) suddenly shows up not cured OR shows up trying to kill her I am going to cut somebody. Talk about cliche.

ugh. yes, I read it. curiosity will get me to read the 3rd book. how many "flickering off to the left" can there be? seriously the same verbiage over and over.
I'm annoyed at the juvenile Ness of this book, but it is a YA so I'll let it go. "I'll love Alex forever!... oh wait. squirrel. .. I might love another."

I would give this a 1.5 if I could
1) narrator is great
2) story is not great. predictable VERY PREDICTABLE but kept listening because I'm waiting for a couple audio books to come off hold. protagonist is boring. I barely care. it's okay, I guess.

Definitivamente la segunda parte de la historia te hace conocer más a los personajes y no te envuelve en una descripción infinita sobre que es la Deliria, hay nuevos personajes que te dan ternura y te enseñan lo duro que puede ser vivir en la tierra salvaje. El final siento que fue un poco predecible, pero necesario para ponerle un poco de sazón al tercero.
Didn't like it, way to predictable and I didn't feel like it had any meaningful put.
How can the book just end like that?! I have to admit, I have no willpower and had to skip to the last page to see what it said I don't know how I am going to be able to hold out until February for the next one!
