This book made me feel out of air!
At the first half you feel lost on what’s going on and where in the time line of events you are. Then, as soon as you stumble yourself upon the second half, you start to understand.
The story somehow gets better and I’m left in the end with the most outrageous cliffhanger ever *offensive side eye*
Ok, I need more.

The last page totally got me. Even though I saw it coming (only about two pages beforehand)I still freaked out. I can not wait for the third book and am so glad that all these books are out so I can read them all at once. The rest of the book was pretty good. Like Lena, it took me a while before I realized the meaning behind everything. But I love when books do that. They give you parts that you expect to happen, but at the same time completely muddle things and keep you guessing and turning each page. I really enjoyed this book, probably more so than Delirium. Although I liked the lead male character better in Delirium.

I think I'd like this series better if I weren't listening to it. The narrator is kind of annoying. I like the conceit of the story, though -- very original.

In some ways I found Pandemonium better than Delirium and in other ways worse. It was easier to get into right from the beginning and keep going. However, the novelty of the world building was gone. It's hard for me to buy into a future world in which we reach a point where "love" is a disease that must be prevented through surgery. The main character, Lena, shows some growth, but the plot relies on coincidence and twists that are pretty hard to swallow. I'm sure I'll read the third but *spoiler ahead*

I'm very tired of dystopian love triangles.

Not as good as the first book, but it was definitely a page-turner.
