I wanted to enjoy this story more but felt each opportunity to dig deeper into the story and characters was kept surface level. Also, what could’ve been an epic scene taking down the villain was half a page??

I felt the message of the book was being shoved down my throat. Even though it was a valid message it started to really annoy me and didn’t seem worth finishing.
