I'm not sure if I like this book or not. I read it all in one sitting so it was certainly very exciting but it also was a little bit violent and sexual. It defiantly not a Archie comics sorta read. Does is it make me want to keep reading? Certainly. Did I find a new favorite series? I'm not sure yet.
I pretty much have nothing bad to say about any part of this series. And now I've read them all in 2 days and want mooooore! ::sobs::
Loved it! The story and the characters are amazing, this new world is quite interesting and the art and writing stile are not to be missed. I have to get my hands on the next one.

Amazing. Bizarre, funny, unique. I found myself wanting to read more the instant I finished. The comic confronts you with moral relativism, characters with questionable motivations, and demented worldbuilding like nothing I've ever seen in comics since Transmetropolitan. I've read Y the Last Man and a few of Vaughan's other comics, but this is truly his finest work. The writing is just spot on. I wish this could be an HBO show or something. It would have to be with the violence and sex.

a solid start but i’m not fully getting the hype yet (watch me be obsessed by vol 2 lmao). it feels like such a fully built-out world and there were so many plot threads were introduced that im curious to see play out in subsequent volumes, i just need more time to get situated in this story and its world. i did really appreciate how graphic and messy this story about family is from the start; it’s always especially validating to have parents characterized flawed and dimensional.

tbh I picked up this book for it's pretty colours and illustrations and it did not disappoint
