tbh I picked up this book for it's pretty colours and illustrations and it did not disappoint

I picked this up to read because it was on the ALA Banned Books of 2014 list, and our library didn't own it. That always makes me wonder why, so I got my hands on a copy.

The story here is solid, in fact its one of the best I've read in graphic form. There is definitely creativity and imagination on display, and I can see why it has earned so many accolades. I also, though, can see why it was banned. This is not a book for young people - there is a lot of violence, vore, and nudity. There are a few graphic novels that are truly for adults, and this is one of them. Sadly, it also means my library will continue not to own it since we don't go past YA in our graphic novel ordering. :(

Primera edición argentina, tuvo al menos una reedición.

This has been so freaking hyped that I've been putting it off for a year since I bought this first volume. I was just afraid I wouldn't love it as much as everyone else. But I am so glad I finally picked it up because I ADORED this first volume. All the characters are so fantastic, and the art is gorgeous and I just loved it Now I definitely need the rest of the volumes out so far.

Thought I could just read a chapter or two. Couldn't stop till I finished it all.

I haven't read a graphic novel in a while, and man was this good. The art style is amazing, and I love the rich world-building it does. I will definitely pick up the next volume, but I might just pick up the entirety of Book 1.

There are so many intriguing plot lines in this story and I want to find out more about ALL OF THEM. I am a big fan of Vaughan's ability to create multidimensional characters solely through the words he gives them. The illustrator is excellent in this graphic novel, but Vaughan amps it up giving us clear-cut characters through their distinct syntax. Hell, he successfully anthropomorphized a pride of relatively similar looking lions giving them noticeably different and interesting personalities.

An excellent start to a Romeo and Juliet story taking place in the stars.

Buck wild.

Beautiful art. Snappy writing. Highly original settings and world-building. My one gripe is that I can DEFINITELY tell a man wrote it.
