Loved the first half- 5 stars. Character driven with lots of reflections and applications to present experiences.
Second half - seemed to loose sense of direction, repeated ideas many times.

My first read of this book—for there is sure to be another—was much too fast to thoroughly digest all the beautiful details Schwartz crafts and winds together throughout the book. What a powerful and beautiful piece of work.

This was genuinely one of the coolest, most uniquely written books I’ve ever read. The creativity, the prose, the characters. Everything in this felt so intentional. The beauty of Sappho was perfectly captured between these pages and I commend Selby Wynn Schwartz for her incredible work. Wow.
