A really nice collection of short-stories.
I had already read the one by Nalini Singh in another collection (and I totally loved it) but I didn't know the others.
I loved Ilona Andrews's short-story with Andrea and Raphael. We learned a lot of things about B. (including her love life), about the mysterious Teddy Jo and about the apples of immortality that Kate had already mentioned in other books.
I'm not a super fan of Charlaine Harris but this story was really nice and I loved the world of Britlingens.
I never read books by Meljean Brooks but this short-story made me want to try even if I wasn't totally fond of the main female character in this short-story.

I really enjoyed this anthology . . . and now I've added two more authors I want to read.

I really liked the worlds that Nalini Singh and Ilona Andrews have created. However, it appears that my library does not carry many of their books.

3 stars for the 2 stories I read - Andrews and Brook. Couldn't get through the others.

Just read the Kate Daniels story, but I'm beginning to feel that these little side stories aren't really worth my time. I don't see myself searching out anymore in the future at least.

This book includes four short stories. The first is by Charlaine Harris. I read about 7 pages before I got too irritated by Harris' awful writing. It's the final nail in the coffin! No more Charlaine Harris for me.

The second story is by Nalini Singh. I read two pages before I knew it was not a story for me. (Graphic content, supposedly about angels - not okay with me).

Finally I reached the third story, which was the real reason I checked out this book. I love Ilona Andrews, and "Magic Mourns" aka Kate Daniels 3.5 aka Andrea Defeats a Hellhound was a fun ride.

Also read and enjoyed the fourth short story, "Blind Spot," which was written by Meljean Brook. I'd never read anything by her prior to this. One of her books is sitting on my shelf, checked out from the library, so it's nice to know that I'll probably like it.

I’m on the middle of binge reading a series with the .5 numbers… I needed that short story & enjoyed the rest along the way.

This was a nice intro to Singh and Brooks as I have never read their works. I have some of their novels on my list of books to read and I am certain that I won't regret it. I enjoyed Andrews as usual, and liked seeing Atlanta through Andrea's eyes. I can see how some people may be confused as Andrew's story is based on a character from the Magic series, but I think that the story stood well on it's own. I recommend any short story compilation by multiple author's as a way to get a taste of their writing styles.

Now, why, why, why did I have to read this?

Was it because it was so damn hard to find? That really should’ve clued me in.
