Bought this randomly at a bookstore and had too high expectations. I usually love a good stalker romance but I definitely couldn’t get into this one. Wasn’t a huge fan of the plot

I wanted an unhinged H and darker plot line.
This was the first book I have read by author Debra Anastasia. I'm hooked. I ordered Havoc right after finishing this last night. I have had 3 nights in a row where this book had me in its clutches until I finished. Very little sleep, but the story...so worth it. The angst, the darkness, the love and forgiveness. I reveled in every page. 5 well-deserved stars!
I grabbed this book because of the cover which got my attention immediately and I’m so glad I did! This story was better than I expected. Mercy and Becca were adorable and I loved how Mercy was completely devoted to her. His tattoos played into the story and I thought that was unique. Highly recommended stalker romance with some kink!
My favorite thing about this book was the characters. This author wrote not only a good relationship, but good friendships! I read a lot of dark romance and what stood out in this book was that the our male lead wasn’t a bad person, he was a good person stuck in a bad situation. If you like darker stories with good moral character, this is definitely a good book to checkout.

I absolutely loved this book. The dynamic between Nix and Becca is freaking perfect. I do love a good stalker romance mixed with "touch her and you die" vibes. There was the perfect amount of obsession (on Nix's part) mixed with fascination from Becca once she finally "met" Nix.
The spice was just right and I loved their connection. Animal was the perfect supportive BFF. Dark romance is my jam and this one fit the bill. Nix creating the claw game for Becca was just too freakin sweet.
I also loved how the story ended. Everything wrapped up nicely and it made me even more excited to read the next two books in the series.

Honestly, this book was everything that I needed. Touch her and die, a sweet stalker (yes that does exist in books), funny side characters, and some childhood trauma to round out the story.
Becca is a bartender/waitress at a bar in town with her best friend Henry. Becca has an addiction to a claw machine app where she wins way too many stuffed animals. Her mom is constantly pushing men on her and she's just trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life.
Nix, or Mercy if you need him to do a job, is the man behind the screen, or more specifically the claw machine app. He has been watching and taking care of Becca since she called out his father in the grocery store- on arguable the worse day of his life.
Nix has Animal who is his family after he lived in a children's home during his teenage years and he has the names that are written on his heart. He watches them to make sure that nothing happens to them, and he is patiently counting down the days until he can find his dad and kill him for what he did.
When Nix finally comes face to face with his obsession, Becca, and she falls for him too-everything blows up. His dad is back in town and he knows about Becca. Becca is dealing with her new relationship while finding out that her mom has breast cancer, and she may have someone who is trying to hurt her.

I really enjoyed this story. The spice was definitely there. Animal and Henry were the perfect about of serious and comedic relief to go along with the very intense story line that the author wrote. I know that Nix was a stalker but he was sweet and he very clearly loved Becca. I mean he made a claw machine game for her and invested all the money she spent- a stand up dude IMO. I like the culmination of Nix's dad storyline and how that played out.
I really enjoy when a dark romance tugs on my heart strings and has a HEA. I will definately be looking into the next two books in this series.
