Wow wow wow, ya'll top 10-maybe top 5 of this year. Definitely 5 star deserving.
I have no other words to give rn other than: I have bought the other two in this series. I was left with the residual energy that pushes books into my 5 star status. I wish I could be with the characters irl and only hope I can bring my own to life a fraction as these.

AMAZEBALLS!! More than 5 Stars!! I had put off reading this book for what reason I have NO clue. Then I saw Debra again just before Havoc released, found the audiobooks for both, received both in paperback personally signed by Debra, and just continued to feel this draw that I needed to read this duet.....
OMG am I happy that I finally gave in!! I am soooo in love with this series or duet or whatever Debra plans on doing with it. Phoenix and Becca are just so very special! Their story is beautiful, scary, heartbreaking, and just so very special. I have no words just emotional feelings. Even at the 80% mark when I thought Debra was going to shred me to pieces I could not stop I just needed to know more. I can't wait to read Havoc and even though it is a standalone book about another character from this book I can only imagine that I will at least get a check in about Phoenix and Becca.
This specific video review will be included in the April 2018 wrap up.

Really sweet, lost interest toward the middle because I was feeling a bit slumpy but the writing was pretty nice.
It’s my first take on the stalker trope and I absolutely loved this, it wasn’t done in a creepy way ( he's stalker tho) so totally my cup of tea!
I’ll keep on reading the following book.
The bromance here was THE BEST I’ve ever read.

Enjoyed the overall story but I think the execution is what I wasn't completely obsessed with. There were a few moments I kind of just had to step back and be like... huh? That would literally never happen lol. But I still enjoyed it! Nix is probably the cutest stalker ever (wow that sounds weird haha). He seriously just wanted Becca to be happy no matter what and I just wanted to hug him for it.
Parts of this were so boring, but the good parts were so good! Feels like this was written by someone whose first language wasn’t English.

This was such a sweet stalker romance! For all the dark and outlandish things that happened, everything somehow felt really low angst and ... realistic?
Fenix's longing for Becca was so tender sometimes I nearly forgot that this romance was supposed to be a "dark" one with an assassin and stalker hero LOL.
The main reason why this wasn't as great as I anticipated was due to it's length. If the book was cut down by 100 pages, it would have delivered a greater punch. Things felt pretty watered down with all the unnecessary bits about Becca's mother and the cops.
In any case, I'm so glad to have discovered a new author with great writing. I'll definitely be moving on to Animal's story next.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who felt this way or if I am overanalyzing it because of how the narrator sounds while reading. Still, I felt like Becca didn't deserve the dedication Fenniz had, and she got off on the fact that he was obsessed and cared so deeply for her. I couldn't tell you how her voice plays into it, but it did for me, and it gave me a weird feeling.
Regardless, I stand on Fennix being the cutest person in this universe. A man who will dedicate their time and energy to make someone their own claw machine game and send them gifts and wanting for nothing in return is an angel. This man just wanted love and affection after being deprived of it in his childhood, and that person was Becca. Do I wholeheartedly agree with it? Maybe not, but I do love that he got that.

Ho-hum another book another tattooed guy what's a girl to do!!
Fenix 'Nix' for short is a troubled boy, he has had a really bad upbringing by a really nasty father.
Beaten and mentally tortured by his father, Nix is waiting for the day he is old enough to leave.
On a random shopping spree his father goes into his usual threats, this day however he is spotted by someone who comes over to help unfortunately it is only a little girl named Rebecca.
She stands up for him when no one else ever has and Nix never forgets her.
Becca now waits tables at a local bar and Nix has turned into a cold hard killer, to stop him from looking like his father he is tattooed with a skeleton from head to foot.
Nix never forgot Becca and knows where she works, in fact he knows where she lives, who her friends are, and spends his time making sure that she's safe, Becca doesn't know this obviously and goes about her days in complete ignorance.
A chance for Nix to meet Becca arrives when the bar has a Day of the Dead themed party, everyone has their face painted so Nix just blends right in.
I loved the way this book developed and I love the relationship between Nix and Animal he was such a brilliant friend I hope that there is a book for him soon.
🎧🎧 Narrated by two of my favourite people Muffy Newtown and Zachary Webber.
These two take the book to a whole new level, Muffy's man voice will make you swoon and Zachary voice as usual is off the chart hot 🔥🔥
