The prose was okay, but the worldbuilding was really overdone. I don't think I needed multiple multi page lectures on the history of Ancient fantasy wars within the first two hundred pages of the novel

Was this gent paid by the syllable? Flat characters and prose sufficiently purple to make Lovecraft blush. That said, it really does pick up in the latter half and I'm intrigued as to where the rest of the series goes; definitely as chore at times, however.
Epic. Beautifully written. It's similar to LOTR but the similarities become less the further into the book the reader progresses. The prose is vivid and eloquent with what most will call a plethora of scintillating adjectives that burst with dazzling sensations in a powerful magnitude of compositional merriment.
Basically the Walmart version of Lord of the Rings.

This never really grabbed my attention. It felt like a bad LOTR rip off. Characters were flat.
