One of the rare books that made me laugh out loud. Ironically, it reminded me how much I loved his movies in the 80s and 90s that didn't do too well. Well worth the read.
Great read. Very funny. This is about as good as ghostwritten books get
After reading an extremely depressing book about Saddam Hussein, I needed to re-set my brain with something light and funny. This certainly did the trick. First, this book MUST be listened to. Martin Short’s characters and voices are the reason we love Martin Short, so listening to the author spontaneously break into song or change in and out of character is necessary to fully appreciate his wit. The chapters about Nancy’s battle with cancer are especially poignant.
I have always enjoyed Martin Short. I expected to laugh. I didn't expect to cry, to be touched and to be inspired. A must read about a genuinely good guy who's just way more famous than you. Now... how to score an invite to his Christmas Party?

My favorite memoir I’ve read so far. The story flowed with ease, and Martin’s narration made it easy to follow along and fall in love especially with his family as we reflected upon his life. I’d recommend to others for sure.
If you're even a passive fan of Martin Short then this is a good read.
I listened to this one. He narrates it. I thought it was awesome. Gilda Radner stuff, SCTV stuff, Ed Grimley, and his deep love for his now-deceased wife, Nancy. Great.
Quite funny, and moving how much he loved his wife and family. A must listen as an audiobook. He does the characters and sings. Well worth it!
I checked this out of my local library and enjoyed listening to the audiobook during my daily commute. Martin Short writes with the humour he is well known for and narrates the audiobook himself - a hilarious bonus as he does the voices of his favourite characters, friends and celebrities as well as occasionally bursts into song. An amazing read that I would highly recommend!
Read by none other than Marty himself! Thoroughly enjoyable, entertaining, and emotional.
