First of all, if you are reading this book, stop immediately and get the audiobook. Martim Short narrates and if you aren't listening to him you will miss all the characters and a lot of the fun. I picked this one because I am a fan of Mr. Short. I thought it would be funny. It was. I thought I would hear some inside stories. I did. I was not disappointed, but I was surprised. I was surprised at how much Mr. Short's story resonated with me. His approach to life, the choices he made, the way he dealt with extreme grief, and especially the love story between Marty and Nancy, inspires me and gives me a new way of looking at things. I highly recommend this audiobook to readers of all ages, gender, and interests.

I have a pretty big crush on Martin Short. It developed in the last year or so and I don't remember how it started, but if any of you know him, hook me up!

P.S. I liked his book just fine.

If you are a fan of Martin Short, you will find this an interesting read. Understanding his past and his personal life what he has gone through and how that has shaped him as an entertainer.

I have loved Martin Short from the first moment I saw him on SCTV. He is a brilliant comedian and he's a fellow Canadian! This book was very interesting. I didn't know a lot about Martin Short before reading this book because I don't read tabloids, or a lot of celebrity stuff. I also think that Martin Short very successfully kept his private life just that, private. So to read about his childhood and early years was completely satisfying to me. He has endured a lot of heartache in his life and yet he is a self professed "happy" person. He credits his mother for this as well as his older brothers and sister. I loved how this book was not "gossipy" in the slightest, but we still get to read about a lot of famous people. I am not a big biography reader, but I really enjoyed this book!

Audiobook read by author while I set up my classroom. I’ve always loved his comedy, so I found it interesting and of course entertaining.

Very very good. Funny and poignant. A good look behind the scenes of Short's life so far.
emotional funny lighthearted sad medium-paced

Mostly fun, light, but there is also some sadness in these stories of Martin Short's life.
