Funny bits. I enjoyed it. I listened to the audiobook and he does his voices so it's worth listening to.
Martin Short is simply likeable. Talented, charming, clever and interesting, he’s a natural storyteller.
His luck, joy, troubles and grief are woven together with a net of friends and found family who are unfailingly there for him personally and professionally.
I enjoyed and appreciated this book.

Honestly I don’t even know what to say about this book that will convey how beautiful and touching it is. It’s about Martin Short, his childhood, his career, from SCTV to SNL to Broadway, all that jazz you’d expect when someone writes a book about their life but, and I think this is what the book is actually all about, it’s about relationships, friends and family in particular his late wife. It seems like a cliche but I laughed, I cried, and I laughed again (then maybe I cried some more but you know I’m a bit of a softie so I can’t help it). I Must Say was so much more than I thought it would be. As far a biographies go it was great. As love letter to the relationships in his life, past and present? It was beautiful and moving and… well I think you get the idea. I loved it.

Terrific audio book. And who knew he was such a mensch, even if he isn't Jewish?

I was expecting this book to mostly be about his career as an actor/comedian, but more so it was a book about grief and how he’s dealt with the many losses he’s had in his lifetime. This book did inspire me to watch a few of his movies that I hadn’t seen yet, and I’m sad he didn’t mention The Santa Clause 3 in the book. I also thought when he said he was in a movie called Clifford, it was The Big Red Dog (spoiler: it’s not). Martin Short is a funny man, but at times you can tell he’s an old, rich, white man that is a bit out of touch. However, I would very much like to attend his Christmas party.
