I was expecting this book to mostly be about his career as an actor/comedian, but more so it was a book about grief and how he’s dealt with the many losses he’s had in his lifetime. This book did inspire me to watch a few of his movies that I hadn’t seen yet, and I’m sad he didn’t mention The Santa Clause 3 in the book. I also thought when he said he was in a movie called Clifford, it was The Big Red Dog (spoiler: it’s not). Martin Short is a funny man, but at times you can tell he’s an old, rich, white man that is a bit out of touch. However, I would very much like to attend his Christmas party.

I can't remember the last time a book mad me laugh, cry, and reflect on my life.
If you are reading this right now as a physical book, put it down right now and get the audiobook. Martin Short narrates it himself, and does all the singing, characters (Ed Grimley, etc), and celeb-friend impressions. It's a performance piece you miss out on when you just read it.
