The hatred I have for all of the characters, but especially ADAM MANCHILD MORGAN is unmatched. The best I can say is that I was invested but for all the wrong reasons. Like watching a train wreck or an inane reality tv show. None of the characters are remotely likable/worth rooting for, there are several unfinished plots/straight up plot holes, and the plot itself is a disaster. There’s no way on gods green earth that a WHITE MAN would get the poor police treatment Adam did. The police investigation was disastrous and completely unrealistic. No one did anything legally and it was straight up silly. Everyone was just so angry. If I took a shot every time someone slammed their fist on a table, I’d have alcohol poisoning. And Adam’s relationship with his mother made me genuinely nauseous. I listened to the audiobook on 2x speed and it still took too long. The plot twist/end? Meh. I just didn’t CARE. If you’re going to write a thriller, shocking book, yadda, yadda, yadda, you have to get me on the side of someone. The only reason Sarah was better than Adam is simply because Adam was actually The Worst. I hate him, I hate him, I hate Adam. Ahhhhhhh.
