Awesome, v. linguistically and artistically Mo Willems, which is unsurprising considering they share a publisher (Disney Hyperion) with an eye for that sorta aesthetic/quirky humor.

So cute and perfect for summer!

A fun little story, the text and pictures are bold and have lots of kid appeal.

This book is adorable! I can't wait to use it for storytime.

This makes a fun read aloud for littles, especially if you read with emotion for all the fun story lines! It follows how the alligator feels after eating a watermelon seed and all the silly things he thinks might happen.

Peter LOVED this story! So fun to act out. Did with fruit week.

A fantastic read for Storytime. Not a great plot, but very silly.

A beautiful little book taking on a big fear: swallowing a watermelon seed! The little watermelon-loving crocodile's over-the-top, fretful reactions to this disastrous event are amusing and fun for reading aloud. Think [b:Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!|191113|Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!|Mo Willems|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1328495575s/191113.jpg|884960] sort of fun. The illustrations are lovely, with a limited watermelon color palette. What else would I expect from Disney Hyperion Books? A great debut for author/illustrator Pizzoli.

Adorable! Fun for to read out loud. Definitely recommended.
